Dug is my patriarch! He was an owner surrender to Lucky Dog Rescue and came to his forever home in February of 2014! He’s developed an auto immune disease called Lupoid onychodystrophy, also known as symmetrical lupoid onychitis (SLO), which is a painful, uncommon disease that affects a dog's toenails. Some of his toenails have split, cracked, broken, and fallen off. Most now are slightly deformed & misshapen but thanks to medication and annual checkups with his dermatologist he’s doing great!

Bella came to me as an adopted rescue in 2017. Although she has filled my heart, hers suffers from a grade 4 of 6 heart murmur which requires daily medication. Bella is also a mammary cancer survivor!  Her heart condition requires annual cardiology tests and her oncologist requires periodic x-rays and blood work for ongoing monitoring of her remission. Bella is the sweetest girl in the world!
